All GP Practices are required to declare the mean earnings (e.g. average pay) for GPs working to deliver NHS services to patients at each practice.
The average pay for GPs working in Millbarn Medical Centre in the last financial year was £68,802 before tax and National Insurance. This is for two full time GPs and three part time GPs who worked in the practice for more than six months.
It should be noted that the prescribed method for calculating earnings is potentially misleading because it takes no account of how much time doctors spend working in the practice, and should not be used to form any judgement about GP earnings, nor to make any comparison with any other practice.
Declaration of Interest
The Practice wishes to inform patients of its financial interest in FedBucks, a local health care provider of both NHS and private medical services. FedBucks offers private Minor Surgery, Aural Care and Vaccination Services which are available to patients of this Practice.
All GPs and staff at this Practice will adhere to the “Principles of Conduct in the NHS” when referring into any service and ensure that:
The interest of the patient remains paramount at all times;
They do not abuse their official position for personal gain or to benefit their family or friends;
They do not seek to advantage or further private business or other interest in the course of their official duties;
They are impartial and honest in the conduct of their official business; and they use the public funds entrusted to them to the best advantage of the NHS, always ensuring value for money.
