Our Nursing Team
Our highly qualified nurses deal with a range of conditions and health concerns. They are experts in many areas of disease management such as diabetes, family planning and asthma.
Miss Joanne Smith RGN and Mrs Karen Maguire RGN are our practice nurses and provide care for patients with chronic conditions such as asthma, diabetes as well as all the usual practice nurse duties including family planning services. Joanne also runs a minor illness clinic on three mornings a week.
Jane Dersley and Nicola Chidgey are our health care assistants (HCAs)/phlebotomists. They run our phlebotomy clinics and also do NHS health checks and other HCA duties.
Mrs Debbie Breen will be able to help you with any administrative problems you may have with the way our practice is run.
Karelyn, Kathy, Sharon, Karen, Ann, Debra and Shayeda are here to help you. They answer the phone, deal with any patient enquiries and take requests for repeat prescriptions. (We are unable to take requests for repeat prescriptions over the telephone.)
Their job is very demanding so please be patient.
Secretarial and Administrative Staff
Angela, Jackie and Lynne are our secretaries who deal with GP letters and referrals.
Sheila Miller is our summariser who summarises new patient records and put them onto our clinical system.
Sue Glewis is our senior administrator who deals with patient registrations and general accounts.
We are a training practice for GP registrars. The GP registrar will have worked for at least three years in a hospital after qualifying as a doctor. He or she will spend 6 to 12 months learning the skills of a General Practitioner under supervision from Dr Kinsey and the other partners.
Our current registrar is Dr Alice Wood, who will be with us until August 2017.
Two of our consulting rooms are upstairs. When making your appointment, please tell the receptionist if you are likely to have any difficulty going upstairs.
